Alternative Education
The Alternative Education Program began in 1995 as the Opportunity Program, rooted in the belief that with the right support, every student can achieve success. Alternative Education serves as a part of P-BVUSD's broader efforts to address the diverse educational needs of students who have not found success in a traditional school environment.
The program was designed to provide an alternative educational environment for students at risk of academic failure due to behavioral issues, truancy, or other challenges. By offering smaller class sizes, individual attention and tailored instruction, the program aims to increase students' access and remove any academic, social-emotional, or behavioral disparities.
